Great setup. I really like how the charcoal color contrasts with the body color. Also, that 10-spoke design works really well with the car's proportions. I have been partial to a chunkier 6-spoke of the TE37s and Enkei T6Rs, however these SA-55Ms looks fantastic.
Thanks! Spent a year or so trying to figure out what would work well. I got the wheels off of Croooober last year for a sweet deal after bargain hunting for a while. Like you, I also love the TE37's and similar; less negative space also helps hide smaller brakes that these unfortunately highlight a little too well.

The color was a guess off of a picture on the internet, no regrets, though. We'll see how the finish holds up, I ceramic coated the wheels before putting them on the car with Gtechniq C5 topped with some C2v3.

I have a set of 215/65R Nokian Rotiiva on OEM sized steel rims with zero rub on a stock 2007 Forester X. Very happy with them so far.

I have a 05 Forester 2.5 xt and just bought some 05 sti bbs 17x7.5 +53 offset. I plan on running 235 55 17 all season tires. I also have fortune auto 500 coilovers. After looking at the spreadsheet it seems I will need to run a 3 mm spacer in the rear. Would love some input from someone who has ran this setup or knows something about it.

2018 forester XT

Rim - 2018 STI 19"
Offset - 55mm
Tire - Atturo AZ850
Tire size - 255-50-19
Converter spacer - ISC 15mm
Suspension - Mann Engineering spring
Rear shocks - replaced w 2017 xt
Front camber = -1 degree
Rear camber = -1.8 degree

I gotta say...I took a gamble here cause I wanted some beefy tires that will cover as much of the fender well.

I BARELY cleared the strut in the front. As for the rear I also, barely cleared the chassis toward the back door area.

Absolutely no rubbing at all surprisingly!

I wouldn't recommend doing this. Best option is to go 255-45 or 245-45 if your going 19".

this is such a nice setup.

you seem knowledgeable enough for me to pester you. 😆

I have a 14 2.5i.

I also will soon have a set of 2011 WRX wheels laying around (5x100). I’m an idiot when it comes to understanding tire sizing… what should I be looking for as far as tires for the WRX wheels along with having a 1.5” spring lift kit. :)

I'm running +15 mm offset on MST 16x8s. I do get some rub from the Geolandar G015s 215 60 r16s over bumps in the rears only but I'm lowered on coilovers. Rolling the fender lip might solve this problem. Also running a tiny bit of streatch to the tires sitting stock size tires to a 16x8. Wheels stick out a bit but this was done so I could neutralize and then cover my wheel arch rust with fender flares. Gotta run lower offsets if you are adding flares. That's just weird otherwise.

So I got a question I’m new to subarus and I have a 08 forester and I put 17x9 drag wheels on I’ll have to check the offset tomorrow but I was wondering what a good affordable tire would be, I’m not looking for a low pro for say but anything would help because I bought the wheels with tires on and they are stretched so I don’t know what a good size would be go to

So bit of an update.

Currently running the following specs:

  • Enkei NT03+M (18x9.5 +35), 235/40/18 tires
  • 10mm spacers upfront to clear Brembos
  • 5mm spacers in the rear for flush fit
  • Rear fenders rolled, front fenders self clearanced
Hey mate, if you didn't have the spacers in would there be any rubbing on the inner guard or strut? I would imagine you are on coilovers? I want to purchase new wheels and have looked at a number of different setups of guys with this model or the SF running an 18x9.5 wheel and +35, to save using spacers and to keep some what legal will that work or should I go +30?
