According to Alldatadiy it is 105 months or 105,000 miles whichever comes first. It recommends inspection at 30, 60 and 90 K or months. It is an interference engine so I would err on the conservative side myself.

Should water pump be replaced at same time as timing belt?

I'm original owner of an '01 L with auto tranny, 98K miles and about 9 yrs/110 months of use.

Is the belt ready to break at any moment?
Should I replace the water pump at the same time?
Is this a job to be done by the dealer or any ASE mech shop? Any idea on the relative costs between the two servicers (I'm in Houston, TX).

Thanks.

Do the Water pump, seals. idler, etc. I would get it done at Subaru. Also the HG is a known leaker on this year engine. Maybe consider that since the engine is pulled usually.
