The REP (reputation) feature has gone away because we used up our entire supply of green blobs quite prematurely. Since then we haven't had a way to express our thanks to members for outstanding posts that really add to the quality of the information here. The authorities are looking into some alternate approaches that are used on their other forums, but here's something we can do right now by ourselves.

I'm starting this thread as a way to thank members for really useful posts or in-person help—out in public so that everybody can see it and so that some of us might perhaps get steered to a helpful bit of information that would have otherwise gone unnoticed.

Format is simple. Identify the member, briefly describe the post and why you found it useful, and include a link to the post. Be sure to link to the post itself, not to the entire thread—unless the thread is a journal or something else that you're thankful for in toto. A post's own URL is contained in the 'permalink' at the upper right corner of the post.

I'll start it off with a big THANKS to mykp for his post on how to remove the dash. It was marvelously illustrated, well annotated, and accompanied by a great set of directions. Even though his Forester is a right hand drive SF JDM, which is a good bit different from many of ours, I'm sure that much of the basic info there would be applicable across the board. It was especially good of Mike to do this for all of us at a time when his wife is quite ill. Thanks, Mike!

I would like to thank 2.5x_sleeper. Bobby has one of the best member journals on here, and for this journal http://www.subaruforester.org/vbulletin/f115/bobbys-wrb-07-fsxt-55893/ only being around for a few months, the sheer number of views/posts have to speak for themselves.

I would like to thank Duderotomy for all of his help with our mini vacation to Canada

I would like to thank Ringer (jeff) for hitting the track for some real world data on the anuto vs manual thread.

And last but not least, I would like to thank Tunergirl (pam) for allowing me to mod our FSXT and race it as often as we do, as well as keeping up our journal.

I would like to thanks Bettysboy. We used his Chrysler service bay to remove my bumper for the first time. I know remove my bumper almost every week end trying to fab a light bar. I have also not broken a clip. For the small ones in the wheel well...poke them in with a pen then pop them out.

Cheers

I want to thank everyone who sent in entries for the calendar this year. It was hard to choose only 13 for the finished product, but I think it came out fantastic!
