I have a 2.0xt and was wondering if it's a must I reprogram my ecu, as my funds are low right now and I have no choice but to install the td04-19t. Is it not possible to lower the boost to wastegate pressure till I get my system remapped, or is there any other alternative to keep me from damaging my engine with this turbo upgrade. Forgot to add its the jdm spec.

You won't need a remap. Even at 1bar you won't be able to top out your fuel injectors, so rest assure if you don't mess with the pressure you can drive safely with the td4.
