I ordered a Forester Touring in late December, being able to change some of the accessories on vehicle already intended for my dealership. I have a down payment and received the order received email from Subaru that evening that the vehicle would be delivered in the last week of January. I have not received any further updates by email, and was wondering if anyone who has previously completed a Forester order could let me know the different e-mail updates they received, such as built, shipped, at port, etc.

I built/ordered a Sport on 12/27. I received an email 12/28 with a VON# and expected arrival "month of January 2019". On 1/11 I received an email with VIN# and a "scheduled date 1/17/2019 with estimated arrival date 1/28/2019". Both emails from dealer. I found out from the dealer mine was assembled on 12/12/2019 so mine was in the pipeline when ordered.
When I ordered mine in early November 2016, sales person said was going to arrive in 6 to 8 weeks. I got a call almost a week 5 that it was in the dealer’s storage lot. I guess it has a lot to do if the car needs to have accessories installed at factory or port, that may delay the delivery.

I got an email from Subaru last night right before midnight with my VIN and the same delivery date. I guess I started asking questions here - and to my salesman - about 1 day and a few hours too early.

I placed my order in mid-September 2018, and was told to expect delivery on or about November 13. I got weekly emails from the salesman, but they were mostly "Your delivery date is still estimated as November 13." On November 13, I got an email to the effect of 'It''s here!" and I picked it up two days later. The dealership is about 130 miles away from where I live.
