Hi all my friend hit a rock sliding sideways in his 2001 Subaru Forester. We checked out the damage today to find he had a bent rear K-Member (crossmember, subframe etc whatever you wanna call it). We found the part online for a 2003, wikipedia says the first gen Forester ends in 2002. Will a 2003 rear K-Frame fit on his 2001? All help will be greatly appreciated thanks:woohoo:

Different PN's but the bushes become integral so they may be physically interchangeable.

IMHO Crossmember, can't be a subframe as its not a 'frame'! K-member is usually used for front ends where the crossmemeber has 2 rising portions so looks like a K on its back! E.g. Mustang.

You could likely fit one from just about any subaru that uses rear lateral links (rather than the newer control arm setup), just need the correct length lateral links. I'm surprised that bent before the lateral links though.
