Hello,

I will be doing again my Forester maintenance, readying for the winter: Engine Oil change, ATF oil change, Differential Front & Rear oil, & Brake Rotor Discs change.

I lost a copy of the torque specs that I compiled for this model. Right now from what I gathered, seems like there's no ultimate, I meant there's no exact value that people are using in this forum. Just like the engine oil drain plug torque, some say 22 ft-lbs, others 31 ft-lbs, then 30 ft-lbs and there's another that say 33.8 ft-lbs.

For now here's what I got, [ it's only a draft and I think it's close factory specs. Can you please correct me or verify if the numbers are correct.

I included the wheel lug nuts, it's always the first one being touched when doing brakes.

Torque specs FB25 N/A ( 2012 Forester X Auto ) US version:

Engine

Oil drain plug - 30.8 ft-lbs ( some say it's 22, 28, 30 & 33 ft-lbs ???)

Brakes

Front
Fill Nipple - 5.9 ft-lb
Caliper - 19.9 ft-lb
Caliper Support - 59 ft-lb ( some say it's 48.7 ft-lbs ???)

Rear
Fill Nipple - 5.9 ft-lb
Caliper - 19.9 ft-lb
Caliper Support - 48.7 ft-lb ( some say it's 39 ft-lbs ???)

Transmission

ATF drain plug - 18.1 ft-lbs ( some say it's 22.1 ft-lbs )

Front Differential drain plug with aluminum gasket: 32.5 ft-lbs

Front Differential drain plug with copper gasket: 51.6.5 ft-lbs

Rear Differential - 36.2 ft-lbs

Wheels

Wheel Lug nuts - 72 ft-lbs [ this is from Subaru Owner's manual confirmed ]

Hope someone benefits from this.

Thanks.
