I just want to know if this will work.
i had my car serviced the other day and they told me i could really think of stiffening up the rear end a bit as its a bit saggy.

What i thought was just to get some sti Springs that will lower the car about an inch.

I have a SF-5 S/tb 2001 forester
I can get some GC8 pink springs and replace my standard springs.

Will it work?

No...
Those springs will lower the rear by about 2.5", the front by 3" (where do you get 1" from normal black STi parts lower it by 2") and the strut will now be too long for the ride height and you'll keep hitting the bumpstops, the strut will be operating outside normal range and last not very long at all and be dangerous in the meantime!

Suggest you search and read up a bit, this sort of Q is already on here 100's (1000's?) of times.
