Hey guy I would like to add an STI hoodscoop to my 98 SF, I just don't know which year. I would prefer a usdm. Any ideas or info on this would be great. I've done some research and only found info on SG but not SF.

there never was a USDM version for the SFs -- turbo Foresters weren't available till 04MY. you'd have to look for a foreign hood.

It does not exist in the US. It does in Europe though. I've seen prices for that hood in the US for about $1000. You will then need to find an STI scoop.

The footprint of the scoop on the JDM (and Euro grey import) models is not compatible with any of the USDM scoops. You'd either have to get a complete hood and matching scoop from japanparts.com, or just take the plunge and cut your own hood to accommodate an STI scoop.

If you already have the turbo hood(I think you do since you were swapping), check OzFoz as I think the guys there found a place that makes a bolt on version for the turbo SF hood.
