The clock soldering fix made a believer out of me :)

The radio knob seems to be worn out and when turned doesn't increase/decrease the volume and instead does whatever it wants... i.e. increase or decrease based on single volume units. Used radios are $30 something on ebay but would hate to throw away a hardware if it can be fixed.

Anyone ran into this? Any ideas? much obliged.

I have not, my plan would be to put a newer headunit it to replace it.

I admire your plan though, hopefully someone here has some information for you.

My '97 Imprezza does that. What I do is push down a little while turning NOT in, down on the knob sometimes that works helping the contacts to connect or something with the dialing principles I think, otherwise swap that bad boy out for a pioneer or kenwood..ya know??

Peace out~
