I had a 15 2.5 base premium forester that recently got totaled and replaced it with a Base 19 forester. Some questions I have...

1) it has the starlink app on the radio. what would I have to do/parts needed to get this? I have been shopping around for remote start and was unaware that starlink basically acts like a drone when it comes to remote start and features...

2) anyone know about the infotainment in this thing? I was just planning on going with an lOC (LC7i), amp(JL Audio JX400/4D), basic speaker upgrades(cheap, but better than stock and tweeters), and the kicker hideaway (from the last forester), i have never done anything with an infotainment system. wiring diagrams??? OEM speaker sizes?

3) any place have info on these things besides the service manual? there arent even part descriptions in the dealership online parts departments... just some crappy diagrams..

Thanks guys.-Dan

Here's a link for the StarLink features. https://www.subaru.com/engineering/starlink.html It requires a subscription. The Safety and Security parts can be had separately year to year but are expensive to me a'la carte. Together they are $375 for 7 years. I got it for the remote start and climate control. It has Lojack style car finder and can immobilize the vehicle if stolen.

I'm not familiar with the Base or if all StarLink features are available in that trim.

MySubaru website has downloads of all the Quickstart and full Owners manuals for free. I downloaded all of them yesterday.
