S'poreSTI's 2017 XT Touring. QBP with STI BBS & Brembos

Just picked up a new garage-mate for my STI this weekend :grin2:

meeting for the first time...

2017 XT Touring. gotta be a turbo... 👍

Really clean, found it with only 7500 miles on the clock.

So much technology inside compared to the STI. It even has SI-drive

Added a few things so far...

I dunno. I kinda feel if you have a badge, you might as well keep the Forester badge as well.

I have a 2018 XT in Heritage blue, so similar and I came from a 2016 STi in WRB. I love my forester but do have a hard time making it feel/look special. It tends to look a bit ordinary and even enthusiasts don't recognize it for what it is. Not sure what you can do with the badging to fix that for you. is the 2.0XT for the back or front?
I like the yellow

@Koogs - You know who else doesn't pay any attention to it... LEO's. So, when you are driving in a spirited fashion, all they are thinking is... Oh look, a soccer mom is late for something, let me go and pull over that young kid in the really shiny WRX...

I love the stealth factor. Add in a stage 1 tune and a bit of suspension work and you essentially have yourself a family-hauling WRX.

I have never been a fan of bare metal calipers, and since i had some leftover caliper paint in the garage, my weekend plan was complete...

The front

A great chance to clean the inside of the rims too. Discovered these are Enkei brand:thumbsup:

Rear

Also took the chance to get some wheel locks on

I'm pretty happy with how it turned out, to me its a big visual improvement, I like that flash of red peeking thru the rims

Yeah, still debating it. I hear you about the FXT, its a sleeper, that's kinda why i like it. I'm going to keep this one sensible compared to my STI, where it was easier to list what hadn't changed.
So this one will be mostly cosmetic stuff, just to personalize it to me a bit. I did the brake calipers, i have the OEM wheel arch moldings (waiting for a warm enough day to install), and going to add a front lip at some point, it needs that.

And maybe wheels, nothing firm yet, but got some hardware to mess around with, a teaser here, but will be later due to the cost of BBS and suitable tires

New floormats came in today, nothing too fancy, but the touring logo on the front 2 is nice. The car came to me with Subaru rubber mats, i'll keep those for the rainy months here

My package arrived from russia, time for the re-badging

On the rear, i decided to keep the Forester badge, remove the XT and replace with this new one aligned to the original XT position

Also installed my new STI licence plate surrounds

And same on the front, i'm happy with the way i could locate the badge easily, i think it looks pretty good there

Hanging with an Outback...

Some interior work, i moved my trunk net (originally bought in the UK) across from the STI, and installed a dashcam, the same Rexing V1LG i run in the STI, good video quality and reliable

Front Camera

Rear Camera, had to install a little lower to make sure it sees out of the swept part of the rear glass, my wiper misses the very top part of the screen

STI Oil Filter

Also took it to the dealer yesterday for an oil change, the synthetic change in this is a lot pricier than the dino-oil change i do in the STI
The STI oil filter adds a nice tough of color though, along with the STI radiator cap

Subaru Wheel Arch Moldings

Been looking forward to these for a while now, the OEM Wheel Arch Moldings bought from SubaruOnlineParts.com. Install was pretty simple, downloaded the guide from here
A couple of before and after Photos..

I really think these help finish the car looks nicely, probably they should've been standard from the factory...
