For those of you running 29" tires do you really just not mess with the speedometer? I searched the forum and it seems like theres no fix. I talked to the dealer about adjusting it after a tire swap and they actually told me it was illegal to modify the car in any way that would adjust the speedometer or more importantly odometer. I understand the odometer but was shocked about the speedometer thing and highly doubt thats true. Im just curious what everyone else here does or if they just dont worry about it. My worry is that with 29" tires we are talking actual speed of 74mph when your speedo says 70 which can be a pain to deal with and my wife is really gonna hate it too. Any help apreciated. Thanks.

A SCANGAUGE2 will accommodate that request easily. But you'll have to adjust to looking at it for speedo info.

In the mean time post some stickies on the dash of indicated vs actual speeds.

Putting less indicated.miles on than actual miles is a good thing.
