That sucks... I had a get walk into my mirror while loading his truck up in South Carolina on Thursday.
I'm sitting in the car at the time and he folded the mirror in he hit it so hard. He didn't even notice me sitting in the drivers seat, and just walked away. I was like really!?!?

Yeah people are dumbasses.. one guy tried sitting on my passenger fender before my horn gave him an earful. Another soccer mom kept banging my mirror with her door over and over that I had to roll down my window and give her my -_- face and then the ,,|,, hand gesture when she talked about not doing anything stupid.

You guys are way more tolerant than I am with people that are oblivious to other's property. About three years ago, I had a lady, and I use this term loosely, back into me while dropping her kids off in the "loop" at the local elementary school. I was exiting my door and about to open the driver's side rear door to get my daughter when, wham. I gave this lady a tongue lashing without using any profanity. I told her that she was lucky that my kids were not injured!

That sucks:icon_frown: The other day it was very windy here and I was waiting for a friend to come out from shopping. I watched a couple get into their car and the wind blew the doors open into the cars beside them (had to have left dents or scratches), and drive off, they didn't care. I couldn't read their plate from all the winter mess.

I hope PDR can take care of it.

holy cow, that gives me faith that I can maybe repair some of the scratches on mine... But there are so many dings. I'm one of those unlucky fellows that people really enjoy opening their car door into. Looking at the right angle you see nothing but dents running from front to back... At this point, it will probably be cheaper to get the whole thing painted.

at first I was all hacked off but now it's just a bummer and I do get a little pissed but afterall my hood was the first thing to get keyed when I got home from the dealer about a week later..plus that 08 body dents really easy too..Now my hood is pretty much a table for tailgating or hoodgating..When I replace it I should have enough for CF.
Hollar!!!!!!!!!!!

To OP,

Mind explaining what did you do in detailing? Scratch X felt like fixed it but after detailing picture has no trace of the scratch. Great work.

I live in an apartment complex and I have had a ton of such on my old car. I am worried than someone will welcome my new car just like this. Getting ready for the knowledge of fixing this and the kits.

Guess I'm the old thread police today. This thread was from over 4 years ago.
I am not interested in argument, at the same time, how many threads would you like me to show you when the veterans have pointed to the old threads for reference?
And whats wrong if one resurrects the old thread, if the OP is still active on the board?

But @vicali is still around, and he'll probably be glad to answer the question once he finds this.

Someone rang?? That tagging thing is the cat's pajamas btw..

MoneyJohn my detailing isn't super technical, the best investment for my vehicles has been a PorterCable7424.
Both my rigs get annual details consisting of Claybar, ScratchX any sore spots, Meguiars cleaners and polishes as I need them;
M83, M82, M80

Then follow up with some GoldClass Carnuba.

The exact reason I waited until retirement to buy the Fozzie. I worked at a VA hospital for many years, and sometimes a diasbled (one way or another) old guy would bump the Corolla and drive away without realizing what he had done. If he had, he would have stopped and left a note, I'm sure. It drove me a little nuts, as I like to take care of my equipment.

I wouldn't have worked there if I didn't love 'em, so wot the hell....
