...Fantasy 2009 Forester: Getting the full STI swap | Driving Sports

why doesn't FHI go ahead and do another FSTI?

I am almost tempted myself to buy a damaged 08 STI donor at auction and a used JDM N/A forester and set to it!

note wiring loom re-usable and even wrx perfromance parts just bolt straight up.

definitely food for thought in there - I think I would do it as a total sleeper though with no sti badges etc.

apologies if this has been covered already in the forum - I hadn't seen it on Nasioc till now.

If you have the time, space and knowledge to do the conversion yourself it might be worthwhile but paying someone to do so would mean it's not worth it IMHO. The 'problem' with conversions though is that if something breaks it will be difficult for anyone to replace the parts as it is a mix-and-match from 2 different cars with a lot of 'DIY' involved.
The 2009 Forester is c$ap compared with the competition (suspension wise), I wonder how the conversion handles.
Interesting to have something different though!
