Is that a automatic? ACK!
I was looking at those same pictures just a couple hours ago.
Did you see those of the Camaro concept?
Honestly, I would be all over either of those cars but it would be a secret to the Forester community  I say bring them on.

Not sure,

Obviously I'd prefer a manual transmission.

The Camaro was O.k, the opening around the headlamps seems a bit too small though.

The Challenger OTOH, Hawt.
From that pic.. its a auto with a sport shift gate on the right.. eeew..

That is one of the better looking most-true-to-the-original nostalgia muscle car re-do I have seen to date. I loved the Challenger/Cuda cars, and after seeing the the stock SRT8 Charger post 11.50 quarter mile times, I can only imagine a forthcoming Hemi-Cuda SRT8.

I do agree though, that the automatic configuration leaves me cold. Thats the main reason I have always hated the AMG cars, and gravitated towards the BMW's. Personal preference...

Jeff :)
It's a manual,note the clutch pedal :D

No way!! I guess I need to look a little harder next time! That shifter looked so much like an auto, however I am reminded of the pistol-grip 4 spd shifters that Dodge used!!

Hmmm....when is that coming out again!
I'm thinking it's a 6spd with a postol grip and that extra slot on the side os fro reverse.
Any word as to when it might be hitting the showroom floor?

Ben
No idea,

But I want one in either

Vitamin C orange

Plum Crazy

Or

Limelight green

In that order.

AW reports it's a 5-speed auto:
http://www.autoweek.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20060102/FREE/51229003/1008/THISWEEKSISSUE

& the Feb. '06 edition of R&T reports on pg 20 that it's a 6-speed auto.
I kinda like the fact that the american manufacters are starting to build some cars with a reto flare to them.

There will always be prettier models out there. But in the long run you might find yourself waking up each day with a high maintenance nightmare.
I know.

The utility would be lost as well.

My wife is getting an 06 Legacy soon.

I'll just keep her OBS around for now

Our next car purchase will be a 95 Legacy 2.2 Wagon for our teen age daughter.
It is one of our extended family's Subaru fleet.
It's too heavy, over 4000 pounds! If you were to go for a rear wheel drive car you would be better off with a Mustang or a GTO. But for the prices that the Challenger will probably go for one could get an STI.

By the way, where is this sight with the Camero concept car?
The new Mustang looks like a slug on wheels.

The GTO is nice, but a bit too "Gentlman" for me.

The Challenger OTOH.

Sex.
What about the Charger? It's in mass production. Avalable now. And one of the models has some OK numbers.
