Mods. Too expensive.

Car. Over it.

...we're fighting right now.
ask anyone with a highly modded car, it is a love hate relationship. I go through sitnts where i will literally not drive the car for 2 week, walk by and it and just shake my head, but then there are other times where i am super excited and get wait to get in and work on it or drive it around.

it will pass
Sometimes "instat gratification" isn't the best way to go. IMO, half the enjoyment, or fun, is in the planning, saving the required moola & actually doing the MODding. I'm sure you've looked over my Journal & you know I've been MODding my Forester since I bought it last year (June/09) & the '03 X way before that & I still have a long ways to go.

 yeah I'm just angry at the Foz right now.. She's been a bad girl lately and needs a good spanking to put her in her place! Of course today I go to work and my manager and I talk about modding cars all morning so I guess I'll have to just give in and buy parts for my baby. I'll wait to put them on till she apologizes for being so cranky
Dude I think I'm painting my carbon fiber hood scoop flat black.. Like right now.
don't do that! blasphemy!!!

you dare defile carbon fibre like that?!?
Muahaha YESSS CARBON FIBER IS EVIL!!!

I kid you. You stopped me just in time haha.

Now... how do I remove those eyelids?! They need to be color-matched
Just pull put it under some sunlight and pull off. Probably double-sided tape. If that doesn't work, heat gun/hair dryer and fishing line does wonders. To get tape residue off, soak residue in WD40. Easiest way to soak is to get some paper towels, spray WD40 on them, and then lay the WD40 in the residue.

This is wrong!
Two new additions today!... er, yesterday xD

First was I installed an '05 dash cluster so now there's silvery rings around my gauges, yay

And I also got a Subie Momo Shift knob because my old one was showing lots of wear and tear and loked ugly!

Your cluster is 140MPH, I thought Foresters only had 120MPH clusters?

Looks good with that silver trim and the Momo. I did those mods too!
Oh my gosh I also got a new Alpine something-something-404 Stereo! This happened on June 20th, 2 days after graduation lol. It's so amazing and sexy and makes my speakers sound even more premium!

Pics!

And I also took this video which will show you what my car looked like before the previous post and also give you a nice view of my stereo and the camera abilities of my iPhone 4!

Actually goes to 150mph, although there's a speed limiter at 130... Grr. I was surprised at how much nicer those simple mods that ook 5 minutes to install really add to the car. Also, the shift knob is a little taller so I can shift into 5th gear easier (with my short arms )

Oh and maybe my cluster goes to 150 because the '04 XT models had the STI block?
The subtle things really make a difference, especially to the driver. :icon_biggrin:

Nice silver rings, knob and head unit. :bling:
baller.
N/A models had 120mph speedos, XT's had 150mph speedos.

Lookin' good, demp! Is that the HU they had on woot.com a while back?

No idea Zach. And I don't understand why the gauge goes up to 150 with a speed limiter on it! x]

I have no idea about the HU, I've been wanting it since January or something and was the best for the price I wanted to pay / features / etc. Jon (Azn) also has the same one cuz I told him to get it

Same reason my dad's BMW goes up to 190 but the speed limiter cuts fuel (rather abruptly) at 155. It can go (a lot) faster, but they'd rather you not :p

The HU just looked familiar.
