I guess the only way to tell that your car is an 04 now are the lower door trims and the hatch trim panel.

The O2 sensor after your downpipe doesn't do much. Mine crapped out this spring and had no noticeable effect on the car aside from flashing the cruise light...

You could spacer that biatch, but you'd want the bolt-on type if you go more than 3mm.
How much spacer is up to you as well. I would guess a 10mm? I might run a 10-15mm spacer on my beater when I mount the SVN's on there.

Use the set you bought new as the track set. That way you know the full history of them and won't have to worry about damage caused by previous owners during hard driving conditions... Assuming you bought either set new.
Sounds like your coil packs didn't like the moisture...
Pull them off, blast out any water and seal them up with dielectric grease.
If that doesn't work you have a more serious water/wiring issue.
