After my mishap with my brakes seizing, I decided to replace my front calipers, rotors, and pads as well as replace all my brake lines with stainless steel ones. I topped it all off with Super Blue Race Brake Fluid and can say that my brakes are now awesome! The culprit of my brake failure was actually due to the Hill Holder’s old age. The result? Remove HH completely and viola, problem solved!

Here’s a list of parts I used in the brake swap as well as some pictures:

  • OEM Replacement Forester Calipers
  • EBC USR Front Rotors (Slotted)
  • Performance Friction Front Brake Pads
  • Goodridge Braided (SS) Brake Lines
  • Super Blue Race Brake Fluid

Man oh man...

Sweet job mate :D She's looking good. Get your feel about not wanting to let her go now.

Been feeling that my 99 is getting a bit too old, and was thinking about an 04...

BUT... but but but... :icon_confused:

Good work with the car problems though bud, you certainly seem to have gotten your fair share =/

Looks great dude!!!

Talk to me about the tribeca brakes... What are you running in the front?

PS. still want that carpet? :D
Thanks!

The brakes are just for the rears and I have Tribeca calipers, pads, and brackets paired with LGT vented rotors. I bought the calipers just for the brackets but they didn't fit the LGT calipers so I had to grind the inside of the Tribeca calipers to fit the rotors and they're great! The car brakes very evenly now and the only complaint I have apart from needing to modify the calipers is that my ABS freaked out after the swap so I no longer can use it (pulled the fuse).

As for the carpet, I think another member on here will be able to sell me their black carpet but I'll letcha know if it doesn't work out!

Updates:

I ordered a lip for the Fozzie :icon_wink: should be here on Tuesday!! Can't wait!!!!!!!
