Alright. I'll replace the sensor and hope that solved my issue.

I'm looking to replace the O2 sensor right after the downpipe, correct? Or is there another sensor further forwards?

There is one further forward in the header just before the up pipe. I would try to track down a vacuum leak first. It is basically free to check all the hoses and do a smoke test. The front O2 could have fouled from you running rich or just age.

I would definitely replace the front 02 sensor. My car ran very rough for a while and I could not figure out why. It would struggle to idle at the right RPMs and the motor would kind of pulsate. As soon as I replaced the sensor everything was buttery smooth. It's a pretty cheap part at Autozne, make sure you get the Denso brand which is the best you can get.

Front O2 Sensor replaced, problem still exists - though not to the same extent. It doesn't shutter as badly as before but still bogs down upon coming to a stop.

My tuner said to remove the Cat in the down pipe and my issue will be solved. I don't know if I believe him and if it's worth the $50 when it may be an ECU issue.. Input?

Thanks!

Easy way to check for a vacuum leak is to spray some brake cleaner near the vacuum lines and see if your RPMs shoot up, the brake cleaner acts as a fuel for the engine. Good luck!

Cabin air leak anyone? When the FXT is at or nearing full boost, I can hear air whooshing inside the cabin from under the dash.. Time for some hot glue to seal the turbo hose to my boost gauge sender. Hopefully this solves my issues!

it was just an observation, not a compliment or dig. I never liked stickers, I only had 3 on my car, 2 IAG on each rear side window and a this one when I was single

promptly removed and I started dating my now wife though and always a little weird when my mom or cousin or friends significant other rode shotgun

I'm going to put a ton of "stickers" on my car very soon... I'm tired of my sub-par JBP paint and have always liked white Foresters... *hint hint*

I could see where that sticker might get you in trouble!

In other news, my center console is black and I've discovered that I have a Kartboy Short Shifter - something I'll promptly be replacing! I never did like Kartboy and now I know the cause for every single issue my car has ever had.

Man two for two! I can be hired as a consultant if you like. Glad you got it sorted and at this point I would strongly consider a remote tune. There are so many reputable shops that do it now. I have a remote tune for the simple fact that the nearest "good" tuner is around six hours away.
