Hi everyone,

So I though I'd start a journal of my FXT04. Here we go!

My name is Frederick. I'm from Quebec, Canada and yes I'm french!:raspberry:

I bought the FXT at the beginning of Mars. I made 200KM to see and buy it. (There's not a lot to be found around here). Back then it had only 91000KM on it.
It's now at about 94000KM.

Modification so far.
  • Greddy Clutch kit stage 2
  • Cobb Turbo Back
  • Cobb Intake
  • Cobb Access Port (Stage 2 VF-39)
  • Pioneer Premier FH-P800BT
  • Infinity speaker
  • JVC AMP
  • JVC Subwoofer 12"
  • Enkey EVO6 18" wheel
  • Delete front "F" JDM plate
  • Paint stock wheel for this winter, probably black!
  • VF-39 Turbo
  • STI intercooler
  • KartBoy Short shifter and Bushing
  • GrimmSpeed Up pipe
  • Brembo plain Rotor
  • Hawk HPS Pads
  • Swift spring
  • Cleared and greyed out headlights
  • 2006 HVAC control

Modification I want
  • STI Hood scoop (Not sure what I need to look for)
  • Forester Momo Shift Knob(On order)
  • Forester Instrument Cluster 2005(On order)
  • STi Front Grille Badge (On order)
  • STi Rear Trunk Badge (On order)
  • Sti 2004 Shifter Trim(On order)
  • STi Key Blank(On order)
  • Floor Mats - Embroidered STi Logo(On order)
  • Subaru STi Tumbler Mug(On order)lolll
  • Keyless Entry Remote Forester (On order)

Maintenance required
  • Just need some body work here and there.

So far really love the car. It got power, practicality, good looks, good exhaust note and not everyone has one.

This weekend I washed, clayed and buffed it.
I buffed it with a 7424XP to remove scratch and blemish. To my surprise it was quite easy and effective. It didn't remove all the scratch because some are just too big. But it did a very good job on most of it. It's easy to do but very time consuming. I passed about 12 hours on the car all week end.
I also tried Dr.ColorChip on chip and road rash. I was expecting a lot more from this product. The product goes on easily but removing the excess was really hard and when finally it's being remove it also remove it from the chip. Anyway I will probably try it again. Maybe I was just too tired, I don't know. But so far Im not impress.
I still need to polish it and wax it.

PS: Some photo will come later

sounds nice. Which 18" Enkie did you go with?
I don't know exactly! I took some photo of the wheel yesterday. Ill posts it later!

Yesterday I finish my paint restoration. I polished and waxed the car and the finish product is very good. Actually it's incredible. Most of the scratch on the car is gone or almost not visible, except for the very big one. Road rash and chip are less visible once polished and waxed. Oh! And the paint finish is shiny like a brand spanking new paint job. Pretty excited and proud of my result! It was A LOT of effort and time but in the end, it’s worth it
:woohoo:

I don't know, maybe. Ill do my research on it but it won't be in a near future. There's a lot of modification I want to do before that.
I feel this car is going to cost me a lot of money. I saw in another post that it's possible to swap the front end with a 07 sport. That would be nice!:bling:

Front end conversion

Looks like the same scoop.
You may need to do something with the plenum/undertray also. Maybe some of the local guys who've done this mod would know about that.
