Sister had to say goodbye to her 2012 last week.

My sister was in an accident last week when a red light runner hit and totaled her 2012 Forester. She said it was with a tear in her eye as she had to say goodbye and she thanked her beloved Forester for taking such good care of her. Car had 91K on it but was a very good reliable car. Fortunately she is ok, rather shaken up understandably, but was quite sad to let her 2012 go. She is now going to have to get a new Forester, of course, and is looking both at the 2018, but probably more likely a 2019. I have already told her Consumer Reports loved the 2019, and gave it an 88 overall as I recall. Is everyone quite pleased with their 2018-2019's?

The important thing is that she's okay. That's what's important.

The 2019 is wonderful. I really like the changes from the 2018 year. Some people are critical of the Auto Start Stop, but you can disable it if it's a problem.

I was looking into one of the upper trims but decided on the Premium with Option 15. It's a great ride.
No turbo, no new forester, but thats just me, I will maintain and then rebuild when needed!

absolutely right!! I think she is, wasn't hospitalized but starting to now feel the after effects, and may for some time down the road. Thanks for your reply about the 2019. I will pass that along.
I’m so glad your sister was ok. I just crashed my Subaru on Wednesday after someone rear ended me. Same thing. I walked away. What a great product Subaru has.
