I was just wondering why the USDM Fozzy don't have them?

I know that overhere in the Netherlands they are required by law if you have a tow bar.
So what's the story on the US Fozzy's?

It's not required in the USDM. I always thought they looked good, even bought a set directly from Japan, but never got the nerve to cut holes on the side of my '03 X Forester.

That's just the way it is. Lighting regulations evolved differently over time in different countries. US seems to lag. For example, we had to use sealed beam headlights for years after halogen bulbs became common in Europe.

Yea but those were so much easier to change compared to cars that you have to peel off the bumper.
