Here is my journal, it will be slow going for a bit none of the juicy stuff until i hit 100K, but I will show what I'm doing until then.
I bought the Forester Sports from Goldstien Subaru in Colony NY at about KBB value. I traded in a Mini Cooper S that was starting to worry me due to some service issues and I wanted to get rid of it before it became a money pit. I had purchased a 08' Impreza for my wife Sheri and I loved it, but while i was getting that car i saw a Forester Sports on the lot for the first time in my life. I though WOW I didnt know a Forester could look so cool. Then the cooper started to give me trouble and it was a no brainer, especially living in NY!!
I installed the Front Air Deflector but I have not taken pics They will come
I just received in the mail a ton of sound deadening material im waiting on tweeters spacers and speakers for the install pics to follow

oh my its like night and day
there is a long stretch of highway that is paved in concrete
there are some large seams on this road that make loud "clunk clunk" noises as you drive over it
even with only 3 doors the sound was dramatically reduced
and the doors when they shut are much quieter!
i was a bit skeptical but sound deadening is awesome !!
finally aimed the headlights
i needed to get a offset ratcheting wrench set (i had no 8mm wrench i could fit in the little spot and i didnt want to move the batt)
and so i will see much better now
and i got a cool little set of wenches that are supper useful !!
i know they are most likey cheep so i cannot pound on them but until i can get some craftsman's these will do !!
it took about 40 seconds per door including the time it took unbox them
the instructions say you need a screwdriver but i think you would only need that if you had all your fingers burned smooth by something LOL
oh and while it was apart i noticed that at least in the 07' sports model
had a little baffle (plug) installed into where some of the wind noise can come from behind the tweeter kit (you would know what im talking about if you have had to deal with this) if anyone ants a pic of this i can submit!
im going to detail the car this week and take some decent pics of it [got a claybar kit by meguiars] (finally)

I found this car for sale with a hole in the block, I picked it up for only $200. It's a 5 speed 2005. I had a motor from a car I parted out, which I was intending to put into my project beetle I have. But I would rather have this forester as a daily driver.
Here it is from the ad

In the past few months i've gone from owning 2 VW to 2 Subarus. My garage currently has a 2017 Forester XT Touring w/eyesight and a 2005 Forester XT Premium. This project log is for the 2005 as the 2017 will remain mostly stock. I've found this forum to be very helpful in finding information...

Ten years ago, I bought my first Forester and absolutely loved this car. It was a 2.5x and I made so many upgrades to this car. I posted many of those on this forum moons ago. So, now it is time to start a new thread for the 2019 Sport. I can hoestly say that this is the first new Forester I...
Hey all,
Recently traded in my 2018 4Runner TRD Off-Road Premium for a 2019 Forester Sport. The 4R was a phenomenal vehicle, but lacked A TON of technology and got half the mileage as this new Forester. I also had to be honest with myself and admit that 99% of my driving is on the road, with...
