Back box is an exact fit. It's the flange thats the problem. If your fitting an SG back box to an SF center pipe one of the flanges needs to be rotated(this is the problem i have). Can't see any probs with fitting all SG to an SF though.

The hangers on the BB look too far back on the pic above though.

Not quite, its a direct fit to an SF (99/00) turbo, not an SF 9or SG) which has the rotated flange.

Most JDM are a direct fit to 99/00 MY not 01-> SF or SG EDM with the seperate underfloor catalyst (not in downpipe OR centre), you could fit to either using the longer 99/00 (or JDM) downpipe of course.

Have narrowed down that it will only fit foresters with a 3 piece exhaust system

which I think covers:
pre 2000 uk's/Japanese imports
all post 2000 Japanese imports

Sound about right...?
