Obviously, that kind of power on the stock motor was playing with fire. Ended up spinning a rod bearing last trip to the track. So, further down the rabbit hole we go.

First up, an IAG Built Closed Deck Shortblock.

Just one cut to the old intercooler pipe, re-beaded and lines up well.

Nice. What turbo you going with?
I'm not sure yet...I want to go with a garret ball bearing, but I'm not sure which one yet...I just picked up an EJ22T, that Is going to get sleeved, and then a 2.5 crank and pistons, mild cam, 8K redline, and a custom air to water intercooler.

Just about done. Had to replace the battery, died after sitting for 3 months.

Any day now. Only a few things left to finish up. Install the hellcat 525 fuel pump and re-install the interior around the shifter.

Finally got her back. This thing is gonna be nasty. Makes all kinda spooly noises even outside of boost. Still breaking it in, but only at 1 psi and thing had me grinning.

Probably be my last update as there seems to be zero interest in the build.

Don't stop... I'm very interested, especially since we are going in an almost Identical direction.
