well its another sad day in the coopster house
improved from 213bhp

but still seems low
little help reading this please guys

only made:
232bhp
226.28 ft lbs torque

he said it was laggy and that for the amount of boost it has i should be seeing more bhp and torque that that :icon_frown:

i think i might just give up at this stage
he suggested looking in to the ecu (map) but im not going paying another 500euro with adding any mods just cant justify it :mob:

I'm no help I'm afraid but it Might be helpful if you posted a list of your engine mods.

Is it running 1.2 bar???

Oh and 300Nm is 221.24lb ft just for reference

mods are

vf35 turbo
fuel reg
fuel pump
H&S turbo back
panel filter
STI intercooler
ecutek mapped
1.35 bar boosting

how ever i didn't get a tweak after installing the intercooler (would that be the problem) i wouldn't of thought so ?!!!

That graph is just wrong in so many ways, I have never seen a curve so messy, the ecu seems to be having great difficulty maintaining a decent boost and timing range.
I had this problem with mine when I ran a VF35, it turned out the turbo was too big for the cams and was just not efficient.
I ran 250bhp and 250 torque, as soon as the TD04 went on I was in the 280bhp bracket as it is very well matched to the cams on a forester..
You have 2 options here, change to a smaller turbo and have the map adjusted or try fitting an electronic boost controller to try and straighten the graph up, fitting an EBC will take boost control away from the ecu, I done this with mine..

Here is what my TD04H graph looked like with ECU controlled boost

graph1.jpg

And this is with an electronic boost controller

TD04H.jpg

As you can see it was very messy but still making the power, the EBC straightened it all up nicely, Don1952 runs a TD04H too and has a beautiful graph..

I would just fit a std TD04 to start with, the hybrid works well but would benefit more on an impreza.
I got mine from Andy forrest performance, but they are £400 + VAT

and if that don't sort it, a box of matches

Hi,
I had a Grimmsoeed 3 port solenoid thingy fitted and Hayward & Scott equal length headers fitted a couple of weeks ago.
Had the map tweeked by JGM. I can say the car is very quick now.
I think the solenoid can control boost better, don't know if it makes it quicker on its own though.
Simon was impressed with the solenoid, ease of fitment.
Hit boost cut off a couple of times before he hit the sweet spot with the map.

Gav, the 3 port selonoid boost will help keep the boost up.

I'm no expert, that along with bigger injectors & a bigger pump helped me.

I started of with 177 Brake. (2 Litre XT)

I now have 305 Brake.

Ported VF41 Turbo, 3 Port selonoid boost, Sti Pink injectors, WRX Intercooler (with Chav STI markings ), Rally Fuel Pump, JDM Air Filter, Baileys ADV, Irridium Plugs, & a couple of remaps.:biggrin::biggrin:

Huge fun Alastair Poxy Darling:Banane17:

Regards

Would be interesting to see the AFR plot of you have it, as the others look fine (just low) to me.

I'm having the timing looked at tomorrow as the guy at rolling road said it's like the timing is out a little - I had my timing belt done few months back so after I get that checked I'll start looking at other bits then .'crack and up'

that was the only print out I got
