After 3.5 years with an Impreza wagon, it was time to come back to the Forester family. I missed the height/clearance and cargo space, in that order. So I put up the Impreza for sale, and less than 48 hours later I had a buyer. Bam!
Went to see one Forester, and it had oil everywhere under the engine. Second Forester... drove it around and 20 minutes later we had a deal--or rather, a steal, because I just paid what the owner owed on it, around $3K less than book value.
Had a tune-up done last week, and am taking it to the nearest Subaru dealership tomorrow to look at Check Engine/Traction Control lights + flashing Cruise Control light. The code is for cylinder misfire; reading the forums here was helpful to decide to skip trying to change coils or MAP/MAF sensors and go straight to the dealership.
Happy to be back, and happy that we are getting snow early this year.
