At 57 k miles and never cleaning the TB or the IACV I tackled the project so I could get rid of the code and pass the emissions test.

I did the spray around the TB butterfly and and wiped until the rag stayed clean. While there I also removed the Stepper Motor and cleaned it. There was considerable black crud built up on the tapered plunger. I was surprised it even worked.

After reassembly I started it up. It cranked for about 20 sec b4 starting but finally did and would not idle and also ran very rough.

Everything smoothed out after a few minutes. Anyway the X has never run so smoothly and it starts quicker than b4 the cleaning.

Such an easy project, I think it will be done more often.
