I'm having bottom end(New Short block)replaced.What upgrades would you recomend doing since the engine has to be pulled. Pistons,rods,Turbo inlet pipe any sugestios welcome.

Meh, I wouldn't worry about rods unless you have money to spend. The stock rods are good for a good bit of power.

How much do you want to make?

I'd do bearings, pistons, and CAMS!!!!

The 04 is the same long block as an 04 sti, so its quite strong as is and can take a decnet amount of power.

I'd do mostly maintenance type work, reseal everything, all new "soft" parts.

However since you'll have the heads off I'd do whatever work you can afford. As BAC said, its the perfect time to do cams if thats what you want (look at the pros/cons though!)

If I had the money and had the heads off I would do at least a port and polish on them. Maybe even valve work?
