My rear windshield wiper will not function correctly. The motor works fine, but there seems to be a connection issue between the axle and the arm holding the wiper blade. There is also a round black rubber-like seal that actually moves when the wiper is activated, but the arm itself does not move. Any ideas on how to fix this would be appreciated.

Take it apart and see what's up.
Good advice. +1

'Pop' the inside panel off the rear hatch. I had mine off many months ago installing sound insulation. It's a bit of a pain to remove - best done using some kind of trim tool(s). These are handy to have with any modern vehicle - many jobs require that you remove an interior panel secured by 'pop' fasteners.

Get them on eBay or Amazon. Once the panel is off, you can see and access the wiper motor and any linkage. It may be a pain to access, but the rear wiper is probably one of the simpler components on the vehicle.
