I am not sure if something is wrong with my windows, or if they are just all this way. When the rear door windows are rolled down, I can shake them a half inch or so in each direction. They are tight when they go up, and I can't tell if they shake while I am moving.

Nothing appears to be wrong when they are up, and both windows do it. This leads me to believe this is normal.

So, before I tear into the doors, can anyone tell me if this is normal behavior? A quick search didn't turn anything up.

Do you mean normal as in this is just an effect of the design?

Or do you mean normal as in this happens to every forester eventually...?

Normal as in it's basically the flaw with frameless windows. They have no support so they do move quite a bit.

Thanks for the assistance. I will remove the thought of fixing this from my mind.

The last time I tried to fix a rattling window [older Ford truck], I fixed the window and created a rattling door. I just didn't want to lose a window!
