Hello!

Both rear sides seem to be knocking a bit over rough road. I already replaced arb bushes and drop links which I always do with a new car (to me) since the roads here are terrible.

The car (2005 facelift 2.0x) already has pedders shocks on the back from previous owner.

I'm wondering if it's likely to be the the top mounts, and if so are all top mounts interchangeable? For example would KYB top mounts fit on the pedders shocks?

Any other pointers would be great as I can't find anything obvious causing the knocking.

I'm completely skint so a trip to the local Scooby indie garage isn't ideal at the moment.

Thanks!

Adam

Ok, thanks to both of you.

I hadn't thought about the boot/tailgate struts (I've already tightened the tailgate latching point); would weak struts in the tailgate cause knocking? How to test those?

God I hope it isn't the entire shocks. :(
