RCTA Stopped functioning

My wife just realized that the rear cross traffic alert isnt working. We tested by having her place the vehicle in reverse and having my son and I walk by etc....no alerts. It had been working fine prior to today. Everything is enabled, there are no warning lights of any kind. She only realized after also noting that as she approached an object in the garage she got bo warning for that either. Any thoughts?

No dash indicators? I had a 2017 Forester that had collected slush inside the rear bumper which then froze. When I tried to dislodge the mass it came down with a cable embedded inside it which led to the rear radar or other sensor. I had to have it replaced, but I am pretty sure the dash had a warning about the system being compromised.

No warning indicators of any kind. We even turned it on and off using the push button but it still doesnt not function. Just weird as it was working as of yesterday.
I am thinking the RCTA is really more for vehicle sized objects passing by. From the user manual (page 356):

"The radar sensors may not detect or may have difficulty detecting the following.
– Small motorcycles, bicycles, pedestrians, stationary objects on the
road or road side, etc."
