Hello, up until today I have never noticed this beep, but it happened to me twice today, 2017 Forester. It is a single beep that occurs at random, irregular times. I read the other threads talking about this beep, but I am not using any kind of lane assist. Furthermore, when my boyfriend drives, I don't hear this sound. Does anyone know what the cause is? It is a manual car if that helps.
Eyesight sometimes beeps when there is a significant change in the scene. Passing an exit ramp will sometimes trigger it, as there's an interruption in the continuous painted line on the right.
I know the below freezing blip, however with this beep there is no light that turns on and nothing changes in the display. I will continue to monitor it and see if there are any patterns. It happened when I was going to park in a parking lot, and also as I was sitting still at an intersection. It’s really quite odd!
If you're listening to music, does it get softer for the beep? If so, it's probably coming from the stereo/nav system. Could be something to do with navigation or your phone's bluetooth connection.
One beep that I've found particularly annoying is the low windshield washer fluid beep. It can go off when you brake because the fluid sloshes, but then the warning light doesn't stay illuminated because the liquid is flat and calm again when you stop.
Thank you for your response and sorry for my delayed response. I never listen to music so I can’t say about the volume. However, I now think that the beep is related to a Verizon install unit I have in my car called Hum. I noticed that the Hum app stopped tracking my car around the same time the beeping started.
