I just purchased a new "used" Subaru. It was a clean 2016 returned lease with 25,000 miles on it, and so far I am very pleased with my purchase. I recently subscribed to Sirius-XM Radio, and had one issue. When I hit the "list" button to show all the available stations by genre, only channels 000 and 001 appear. I called XM, and they indicated that my radio probably needs a software update! They said it would be free at the dealer! But when I called Subaru service they said it would take about an hour and would cost $165.00!!!!!!! Ouch. But then the service advisor said I may be able to do it by myself by downloading the software to my computer and using two USB storage sticks to upload it to the car. Is this true, and can anyone tell me where to get the software and the procedure to do the update? The XM works....I just don't get the station list.

If your 2016 is less than three years old, your dealer should cover it under the 3-year/36k mile "bumper-to-bumper" warranty, I would think.
