Question about 36k/3yr warranty?

Hi I am new to the Subaru family and just got my 2019 touring last month.

As I was looking at Subaru's warranty I notice a line item:

Wear Item Limited Warranty
WEAR ITEM COVERAGE is 3 years or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first. Items covered are brake pad/shoe linings, clutch linings, and wiper blades.

Does this mean I can get my brakes replace under this warranty?

The sales guy tells me the warranty usually dont cover the normal wear and tears and I always assume brakes are part of that.

Only if they wear out, but yes!

Thank you. With all the new safety feature on the Forester, it's bound to wear out quicker.
A friend of mine, just got his replace and he only had the car just shy of 3 year.
You also get free wiper blade inserts when they're worn out. I ended up getting two or three sets, but I had to ask for them each time.
