One side cut, bent and partially tacked. Using flux core but it'll clean up nicely.
Rain馃槨 but I have put a large tarp up and hopefully can back into it tomorrow. I did do a little work today - non electrical tools-after the tarp was put up, the clamp and jack are gone now. There are two spots to bolt the side on, one on the fender edge which is approx 25 mm inside the pinch-weld of the fender and on the inside just forward of the air recirc openings. I'll be placing both bolt heads to the inside and tack them on the outside of the inward face of the bumper so I can complete the welding of the channel end caps.

Following to see how Mad-Max this ends up.

Somewhat curious why you chose a SH Forester to do this project on - Anything with Canbus would be much trickier surely? Same for unibody vs ladder chassis like on a pickup truck too.
