power steering cap

Hi everyone.....


this may be a stupid question...but I would appreciate your help.

Does the power steering resevoir cap snap on and off or is it supposed to screw on and off?

I took the cap off to add some fluid and when I put it back on I notice that if I turn the cap it will keep turning ( it does not tighten). Is this how it is supposed to be?
