1999 Forester S Turbo 5MT
Does anyone have any ideas on how to get around the fact that the 99my ECU, as in my Foz, can only be re-flashed unlike the later models that can be re-mapped. I think I read about the possibility of replacing the ECU with a later model but am concerned about incompatibility. I've also read somewhere about piggyback devices but am unable to get anything definitive about them. I've put in a TD04L and an MBC running at 0.8 bar which has made a noticeable improvement and the next step is to get Bob Rawle to do his thing but, the re-map is far more comprehensive than a re-flash, however, they cost the same.
