Hi,

Could someone please guide me \or even send me pictures as to where the PCV is in a 05 Forester X ?.

And note the difference in part number for your year vehicle. All the local auto stores around here does not have the right listings in the catalogs of products they carry. And I recommend using some anti-seizing material on the threads of the new PCV or you will have a heck of a time removing it later on.

Last PCV question.

Thank you for the responses, I searched my maint. schedule and Subaru does not even have this part listed for replacement. in the past I have always replaced this part each year or so, Is this not needed?

I just did a tune up and changed the PCV. I had it for about 25K miles and the PVC was clogged. One way to test a PVC is to shake it. You should still hear and feel the spring movements to confirm it is still good.
