I'm hoping someone can help me out before I take this to a dealership. I spilled water on the passenger seat of my Forester. Now the passenger light and alarm activates every time I drive about 10mph and over. Is there a way to fix this without having to take it to a shop? Any advice is much appreciated!

the passenger seat, I believe, has an electromagnetic type of sensor in it to detect passengers and the water is probably shorting this circuit making it think there's a body there. Lots of people complain about cell phones and tablets setting off the sensor. You'll probably just have to make sure it's really dry. I can't imagine just getting the seat wet can break the sensor.
