has anyone here ever painted their side panels on their foresters, that and the bumpers. they are like a rough plastic, im not sure if they would come out right. would a body shop be able to color match them to the metal body if i had my car painted.

any pics or info are appreciated

I believe the BlueBrick had his side garnish painted to match the body color. IIRC, it was very expensive! :icon_eek:

Very expensive. A special paint has to be applied and a special process is involved applying it.

And if you ever sprayed Armor All or another silicone product on them, good luck getting the paint to stick.

I was quoted from a few local body shops (one was a big supporter of Nacioc and had done other subie) for around $500 if I took them all off and dropped them off. They said they would strip the chemicals and add the flex additive to the paint. Seems ok on price?
