have just bought a subaru forester 1999 non turbo and am in Zimbabwe , wants to know what type of oil to use on this vehicle
also can l use synthetic oil or non synthetic

should call for 5W-30. Either syn/non syn. I'm sure where you are 40 would be OK also... 40 wt. though isn't energy conserving.

Data for Harare suggests a rather moderate climate range in your country, I'd suggest 10W-30 engine oil.
