Just finished replacing my head gaskets and replaced the timing belt and resealed the oil pump. To check for oil pressure i heard you crank the engine until the oil pump light goes out on the dashboard. Ive cranked my engine for a few minutes and the oil pump light remains on. I also removed the oil filter and it has no oil in it. Would this confirm i have no oil pressure?
Just ended up starting my car and the oil pressure light went out after a few seconds guess the starter doesnt rotate the engine fast enough to build up enough pressure to cause the light to go out.
