Not my first Subaru, but it's been awhile

Hey there,

Just bought an '07 X Premium in Champagne "Grampa" Gold yesterday, so I'm a new member of the SG family. Owned/drove several Subarus in the past, but they all had carburetors. Heck, my first car was a 360 Sambar van.

Anyway, plans are leaning toward some 17"s, Swift springs and Koni inserts. Since the universal replacement muffler that some previous owner had installed is already cracking around the inlet, I need some advice on a new one that has a mellow, deep tone and some decent flow. The X doesn't have craploads of power to start with, and I don't want to make it any worse.

Other than modding Subarus, I restore/customize bicycles (got the Forester to haul them to rides/shows), make lowbrow art, and build scale models when I'm not working as a Quality Assurance Specialist.

Born and raised in Oxnard, CA, wandered around the world with the US Navy for a few years, and now I'm back, living in Ventura. You really can't beat the weather here.

Anyway, That's my intro. I look forward to finding all the info that I need here as my Forester adventure continues.
