Does anyone know if the forester qualified for the new vehicle Sales tax?

Yes I did buy the car between Feb 26th 2009-Jan 1st 2010 but the vehicles that quality have to be:

* Cars
* Light trucks
* Motor homes
* Motorcycles

I recall small SUVs being classified as Light trucks but Crossover SUVs I am not so sure of. Can anyone comment?

This IRS FAQ site might help.

I purchased my new Forester on March 21, 2009. As far as I'm concerned, it qualifies for the sales tax deduction ("car", <8,500 lbs., right time period, right price range, right income range).

Yes It is really called a light truck in some places and car in other places but you get to use it... It worked on my 09X bought about the same time.. Got the money back and spent it..
