Hey guys, I'm new to the Subi community and just recently bought an 05 Forester. She's bone stock and has 138k miles. Wanting to build a rally-sport type vehicle for overlanding/trail running. What would y'all recommend parts wise for this car. Also where the heck can I find Amber fog lights and brush guards? I'm wanting to build something similar to a combination of these to vehicles.

That white one from BAT? I wanted that foz
You can buy an amber film to install over the existing fog lamps. I have installed yellow over mine and got the precut film from Lamin-x Protective Films : Headlight, Tail Light and Fog Light Protection

Another solution is to buy amber or yellow bulbs to replace existing.

After market fog lights for your brush guard are easy.
ATF cooler was my first mod from stock.
Tires from stock 60 profile to 65 in Geolandar G015 was second.
Am now working on an aluminum skid plate. DIY sump guard / bash plate

G'day & Welcome @Suzi.the.Subi-05

Skid plate; tires and yes 21565R16 is a good fit - I recently installed Geolander GO15 and impressed so far (I had BFG ATs for many years). Minimum recovery gear to start, 2 x rated D shackles, snatch strap, pump (ViAir is great); fist aid kit.
Roof cargo storage or root top tent.
Ok will look into all of that. Thank you!! I'm trying to budget my build so as of rn I'm trying to find some cheaper parts that are still work the quality.

For the ATF cooler, do you still use the one on the radiator, or is this a standalone one? Also what cooler did you use?

If you want to get a little crazy with the bumper, Ford ranger bumpers from 96 and up fit, you might need to fabricate the brackets though.

I plumbed in a standalone 6 pass tube cooler purchased ffom CarQuest at ~$40, double-clamping the hose ends. Hose for ATF is getting expensive. Go to a NAPA store for it, as a suggestion.
Thank you for the advice on the 06 and up ranger bumpers. I'll look into it. I was wanting to do a tubular frame bumper with a winch, and a few hellas
