Hello!

Foz. Subie. Fozzie. Scooby. Not quite sure what to call it, but the one thing I do know for a fact is that I am the proud owner of a 2010 Forester Limited. Previous vehicle was a Silverado truck that ate gas for breakfast.

So, as I get my feet wet a bit and learn to navigate this great site, I ask for your patience and your support. I have much to learn, but hopefully, I will have some lessons to pass along the way as well.

In the meantime, I'm currently in the process of breaking in my Forester... 1,000 miles on the odometer in the past month. Also enjoying the sport mode on the transmission as I drive some of the local hill towns.

Only complaint so far (well, aside from the obvious lack of hauling capabilities when compared to my old workhorse truck) is that the 6CD changer radio is a bit, well, underpowered. I won't go as far as saying it sucks, but anyone with the radio knows exactly what I mean. I guess upgrading the speakers, and tracking down a full-size spare tire, are in the cards for this year.

Oh, and I did have to return to the dealer with only 25 miles on the OD due to a loose bolt rolling around in the dashboard. Thankfully, the service tech heard it too, and the bolt ended up being a loose spare that must have fallen during assembly.

Now, if I can only find a competent and experienced service center staffed by at least one Subaru enthusiast....

Welcome to the forum, lot's of great info provided by great members.

You might want to update your profile with a more geographical location other than NY (not sure if it's NYC or the state, but then again I'm Canadian). You might find other local Subaru enthusiasts pointing you to the shops they use.

There have been more than a few 09/10 owners who have been updating their sound systems, so browse around in the respective forums for suggestions and DIY information.

You can also add your vehicle info to your Signature when you update your Profile info. Just go into your User CP, Edit Signature and add info like year/model/transmission. That way it'll show up everytime you post and get more model specific responses to any questions you have.

Lot's of miles per smiles coming with your new Forester, Enjoy
