Hello,

I'm the proud owner of a 1998 Subaru Forester L! Here are the stats:

- 253,700 miles
- 5 speed
- no rust!
- everything works
- ice cold a/c

The car is pretty beat but I bought it as a beater to drive around Manhattan. Of course, I would like to modify it I used to have a '04 WRX and always regreted getting rid of it, so now I'm back in the Subaru world.

I also own a '06 Evo IX and a '95 240sx SE.

Thank you everyone...

I did some maintenance today since I have no idea when this was last done:
- oil change: Penzoil High Milage 5W30 & Purolator Pure One filter
- air filter: Purolator Pure One

I wanted to change the plugs but I don't have a shorty extension, damn boxer engines :icon_biggrin:

I also noticed that one of the tie rod end boots has split, the steering rack needs new bushings, the tires need to be balanced, and finally an alignment. It looks like the valve cover gaskets leak oil and the rear main seal is leaking. Ahh, the joys of older cars and motoring :banana:

Little by little, I'll get her fixed up. Love it so far and perfect for the tough streets of Manhattan!
